How to share a desktop printer with a laptop in the same network?

I have desktop computer that has a printer plugged into it. The desktop runs Windows XP. I also have a laptop that runs Windows Vista. I have a wireless router connected to the desktop so I can connect my laptop to the internet, but can I wirelessly print things off my laptop? My husband uses the desktop for school and I use the laptop for work and I'd rather not have to keep switching the plugs around.How to share a desktop printer with a laptop in the same network?
