How do I set up a printer thats on my network to print from my computer with Ubuntu?

Hi I'm new to the world of Linux and ubuntu. I'm on a network and there is a printer that I would like to set up so that my computer can print things from that printer. Could anyone tell me how I can get my computer to recognize the printer? How do I set up a printer thats on my network to print from my computer with Ubuntu?
