How long does it take for a printer driver to download ?

I am downloading a driver for my bosses printer. It is a HP Color LaserJet 2600n and my screen says Device is connected, waiting for PnP to finish installing driver it is taking very long. Is everything ok.How long does it take for a printer driver to download ?
At times HP you will get a glitch when using the printer software and you will need to uninstall and then reinstall





Add/remove and remove all components for the printer

Now do a complete clean up with the HP level 4 driver removal utility tool (Scrubber) Just click the run tab

It depends on how big the file is, the internet speed (dial-up, dsl, cable) and if anybody else is using the internet. Go to hp.com and try to download the driver.

Printer drivers are indeed relatively large driver files (over 100MB), so could take a bit.
