My HP PSC 1610 will print one-page documents fine but not so with multi-page ones. The printer will not print OR will print 1/2 page and then lock-up OR the printer makes a lot of noise and shuts down.How do I get my printer to print multi-page documents?

Your printer is broken. Have it repaired to solve this issue.
Check out the manual for the printer or look online too see if anyone else has the same problem.
My printer did that once and it's really annoying.
Uninstall and then reinstall your printer using current HP drivers
Just select your operating system and install the drivers
