I have 2 wireless laptops and 1 desk top computer. The printer is wired to the desk top computer. I am trying to link the wireless laptops so they can access the printer. All three computers are on the same router. How can I link a laptop computer to a printer wired to a home computer?
you should be alset already.
assuming Xp or higher you goto your desktop computer.
right click on computer (mycomputer on xp) click proporites click on computer name. name your desktop something you will remember.. perhaps XP Desktop (doesnt matter what)
right click on printer icon (control panel printers and faxes) click on sharing. give it a name click ok.
go back to other computers click on network (or on xp my network) click on name of your desktop computer (XPDesktop) you will see your printer and your shared files folder. click on printer. it will install on your notebooks.
open Interenet explorer click file print. if you do not see somthing like \\XPDesktop\Printer1 then click in the list of printers looking for the above (or simular) then click print
you should be okHow can I link a laptop computer to a printer wired to a home computer?

You need to share the printer from the computer it's connected to. This is done from the properties of the printer.
