How can I set my printer to remember the documents that have been printed?

I sometime print things that I loose, and I want to print them again. Is there a way that I can have them saved AT the printer, so that I can print them again?How can I set my printer to remember the documents that have been printed?
No you cannot, most printers do not have a memory. Even my high end digital copier can only repeat the last job completed.How can I set my printer to remember the documents that have been printed?
