How do I share a printer between XP and Vista?

I have a windows XP machine hooked up to a printer (HP Deskjet 932c) The drivers are installed on both computers and hav printed throught the usb port to make sure. I am trying to print from a windows Vidta home basic laptop. I have enabled sharing on both computers and am able to transfer files between them. when i try to acess the printer from the laptop it says acces denied. Can someone helpHow do I share a printer between XP and Vista?

Go to your Printers folder in Windows XP and make sure you specifically share the printer itself. Enabling file sharing will not enable printer sharing automatically.





Also, after enabling printer sharing and sharing the specific printer, have Windows Vista connect to it over the network using the Add Printer wizard. The printer must be on and the Windows XP machine must be on in order for anything from Vista to actually print.
